InterfaceOS is very easy to use. If you are familiar with a Web Browser, managing Folders and Files, using a Word Processor, a Spreadsheet or even ChatGPT, you are ready to go.

InterfaceOS has no more than 3 mouse clicks to start any program.

If you need some help, there are 40 Youtube “Interface How To….” videos available online.

What about installing interface?

Yes you can. However we recommend that you contact your IT Provider to assist, if you are not technically minded.

USB 32GB wooden swivel drive (Recycleable).

You can download your own programs. However the process to create an Icon on the Menu Bar is not simple, and may require an IT professional to assist.

Full installation instructions are provided when you receive InterfaceOS.

You insert the Kauricone Interface USB Drive into the target computer.

You interrupt the Boot Process to start the installation from the USB drive.

You select the options presented by InterfaceOS Installer.

InterfaceOS is loaded into the computer memory.

Installer erases all of the data from the current drive, and overwrites the drive with InterfaceOS Suite.

Yes all data is overwritten. You must make a backup of your existing data which you want to keep. Either to another drive, or cloud. After the upgrade to InterfaceOS, documents and data can be transferred back to the upgraded Computer

Yes. “InterfaceOS Installer” initially loads the full suite of programs, into the computer memory.

This allows you to become familiar with InterfaceOS by using all of the features and functions. InterfaceOS is erased from memory when you Restart or Shut Down your computer

You can run the InterfaceOS Installer as many times as you like.

When you are comfortable, a single Command Line instruction wipes the hard drive, and completes the installation.

Yes.   We use Libre Office for Word Processing,  Spreadsheet, and Presentations. These can be saved, in industry compatible formats.

Yes you can, but its not recommended. Firefox works perfectly well.

InterfaceOS suite is designed with maximum Linux based security.

No. InterfaceOS uses ClamAV Antivirus, which usually updates its Virus Database once or twice per day.

Yes. After plugging in your Smartphone, InterfaceOS asks you to Trust the Smartphone, and then it is visible in Folder Manager.

From Folder Manager you can Copy, Move, Delete, or Rename Photos, Videos, Files, or simply plug the phone into your computer for charging only

Hardware requirements with interface

IntefaceOS has been tested on Dell, HP, Lenovo desktops and Laptops, Azus and Acer Laptops, and a range of industry standard PCs.

Yes. InterfaceOS suite can be purchased on a range of new All-in-One Desktops from Kauricone.com website.

InterfaceOS runs on 4GB RAM, and 32GB Storage. We have tested InterfaceOS on a range of HP and Lenovo thin clients and it runs well with these specifications, but applications like GIMP push the limits, and it is often easier to upgrade the storage to say 256GB Solid State Drive (SSD).

AMD, ARM, and Intel. All early development of InterfaceOS was done on ARM processors, but currently we have found that AMD and Intel works best.

InterfaceOS works with a range of old and new Generation processors.

The Network Icon in the Status bar allows you to select your local WiFi network, or wired network.

There is a range of printers supported by default in InterfaceOS. The current list is available here. For less common  printers, drivers may have to be downloaded, and we recommend you use an IT Professional to assist.

The number of USB drives, Storage Total, and Storage Free is displayed in Computer Information.

Yes, but you need to change the computer name to a unique name, so that it can be identified on the Local Area Network.
